The Water and Sewer Distributors of America (WASDA) is comprised of over 100 distributors and manufacturers of waterworks and wastewater products.
Formed in 1979, WASDA's mission is to promote the waterworks/wastewater products distribution industry, and to further improve the image and professionalism of WASDA and its member companies.

WATER AND SEWER DISTRIBUTORS OF AMERICA MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of WASDA is to promote the waterworks/wastewater products distribution industry ("Industry"), to further improve the image of WASDA and the Industry, and, consistent with the requirements of applicable laws, to enhance the collective financial well-being of the Industry and WASDA members.
ACTIVITIES
In order to achieve its Mission, WASDA will provide or sponsor the following programs, actions, plans, endorsements, and services (collectively, the "Activities"):
- Educating municipalities, private and public water and wastewater utilities, and the construction companies that construct waterworks, wastewater, and storm drainage systems (collectively, "Customers") to the benefits of purchasing from the waterworks/wastewater products distribution industry ("Industry") and WASDA members ("Members"), and promoting Members and the Industry with Customers.
- Promoting sales through the Industry and the Members, as opposed to direct sales, with manufacturers of waterworks, wastewater, and storm drainage products (collectively, the "Product"), and educating these manufacturers to the benefits of selling Products through qualified distributors.
- Recruiting non-member quality companies within the Industry to become Members.
- Promoting to the overall waterworks and wastewater industry the image and professionalism of WASDA and its Members.
- Promoting federal legislation and regulation that is beneficial to Members.
- Providing forums where Members can lawfully meet and exchange ideas and information of common interest or benefit, provided, however, that these forums shall not be permitted, in any way, to inhibit or decrease free and open competition among Members.
- Collecting and distributing to Members information relevant to the Industry and its well-being.
- Providing liaison with other trade associations on matters of common interest, benefit, or concern (associations such as NAW, NUCA, AGC, AWWA, WPCF, UNIBELL, VMA, DIPRA, etc.)
- Providing continuing education to Members, through seminars, workshops, and written materials, in the following areas as related to the Industry and its business:
- Sales management and techniques
- Operations management and techniques
- Financial and asset management and techniques
- Environmental and safety matters
- Employee benefits and insurance
- Personnel matters including recruiting, training, motivation, and regulations
- New products and product applications
- New federal laws or regulations
- New judicial precedents or interpretations
- Credit and collection
- EDP (Electronic Data Processing)
- Other new technologies
- Equipment
- Other activities, as determined from time to time by the WASDA Board of Directors, provided that the Activities directly or indirectly contribute to achieving the WASDA Mission.
None of the Activities of WASDA will violate the laws or regulations of the USA or Canada or the Bylaws of WASDA. Further, all WASDA activities will remain within the boundaries of accepted high business and personal morals and ethics as well as good taste.
