The Water and Sewer Distributors of America (WASDA) is comprised of over 100 distributors and manufacturers of waterworks and wastewater products.

Formed in 1979, WASDA's mission is to promote the waterworks/wastewater products distribution industry, and to further improve the image and professionalism of WASDA and its member companies.

WASDA COMMITTEE DESCRIPTIONS

FINANCE COMMITTEE
The Finance Committee's mission is to oversee the overall financial health of WASDA.

INDUSTRY MARKETING COMMITTEE
The Industry Marketing Committee's mission is to create a strong image for the industry that will enhance WASDA's marketing position.  The goal is to stimulate interest in Distributors, customers and Manufacturers.

LEADERSHIP COMMITTEE
The Leadership Committee's mission is clearly defined in WASDA's Bylaws.  In summary, no less than sixty (60) days before the Annual Meeting, the Leadership Committee shall present to the Membership a slate of nominees for Directors. 

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE
The Membership Committee's mission is to encourage eligible companies to join WASDA and to implement an Ambassador Program to help new members feel engaged in WASDA. They will also oversee membership retention efforts. The Committee makes suggestions, observations and recommendations about Membership activities to the Board of Directors.  It maintains contact with eligible prospective members through correspondence and personal solicitation.

PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
The Program Development Committee's mission is to develop programs that provide educational and informational opportunities to the membership through use of speakers, forums, roundtable discussions or any other means.   

PUBLICATIONS COMMITTEE
The Publications Committee's mission is to coordinate all WASDA publishing efforts.  This includes the directory and Connections.  The Committee serves as the filter for other association information that is posted on the WASDA website.  This includes certain survey summaries. 

GOVERNMENT RELATIONS COMMITTEE
The Government Relations Committee's mission is to monitor and communicate to the Membership current legislation and funding information that has a potential impact on the water and sewer industry.

ASSOCIATE MEMBER COMMITTEE
The Associate Member Committee's mission is to provide information to WASDA from the Associate Member's perspective.  The Committee also advises WASDA on networking between the Associate and Distributor Members.
